Today, May 15 is GiveBIG Day in Seattle — an exciting one-day, online charitable giving event
hosted by The Seattle Foundation to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit
organizations who make our region a healthier and more vital place to live.
The Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation is pleased to be a part of this year's GiveBIG event
and we're encouraging you to participate. For every credit card (*) donation made today between
midnight and midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) through The Seattle Foundation's website on behalf of the
Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation will be matched by The Seattle Foundation and local
GiveBIG sponsors — increasing your support of Jimi Hendrix Park.
(*) The Seattle Foundation will "stretch" all donations up to $25,000 per donor, per organization.

All donations of $10,000 or more will be entered into a drawing to win tickets for two to the 2014 Grammy Awards.
(This prize is open to the general public and is for event tickets only. It does not include airfare and personal expenses.)

Throughout GiveBIG, donors will be chosen at random for entry into the Golden Ticket drawing.
The Seattle Foundation will increase the winner's donation by $1,000!
Additionally, the winner will recieve a roundtrip airline ticket courtesy of Alaska Airlines, given in their name to the same nonprofit that received their donation.
The winner will also receive a $100 gift card, courtesy of our lead sponsor, Starbucks!

About Jimi Hendrix Park
Inspired by the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix, the park, named in his honor, will beautify Seattle, motivate
youth and others to achieve in music and art, and strengthen the cultural pulse of the Emerald City,
Jimi Hendrix's hometown.
Jimi Hendrix Park is located in the heart of
Seattle's vibrant Central District (2400 South Massachusetts Street), a thriving multi-cultural community rich in
heritage. Nestled adjacent to the Northwest African American Museum and grounds of former Colman School,
Jimi Hendrix Park will be a primary focal point for multi-cultural events, gatherings, and activities for
the community.
To date, the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation has helped
raise in excess of $1 million dollars en route to our goal of $2.1 million. As we approach our intended goal,
we hope to break ground on the new Jimi Hendrix Park this Fall.
